Our mission

We want to empower and support photographers in building thriving communities. With this initiative, we strive to create vibrant and supportive communities where photographers can flourish and inspire one another.

By the end of 2025, we are committed to helping photographers across the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand conduct 750 events with our $1M fund

Aftershoot was started by the drive to make the lives of photographers easier through technology. As photographers and creatives ourselves, we believe that we should spend our time on the things that matter the most! Be it enjoying time with our loved ones, or working on growing our business.

Provide $1,000,000 in funding

We will allocate $1,000,000 in total funding to community leaders, enabling them to organize impactful events, workshops, and initiatives that nurture the photographic community.

Who can apply?

What is the Fund for?

Types of Expenses covered, including but not limited to:

  • Venue rental fees & equipment purchases or rentals
  • Hiring models, props, makeup, costumes, & materials for shoots
  • Collaborating with allies who assist with event production
  • Event promotion &platform fees (Meetup, Eventbrite, etc.)
  • Ordering food and extra Aftershoot merchandise for the event

  • Meetups
  • Photowalks
  • Model shoots
  • Workshops

How will Aftershoot support you?

Here’s how we will support your event:

  • Feature your event on the Aftershoot website
  • Send an Aftershoot Event Kit
  • Highlight your event in the Community Events Blog Post
  • Showcase photos and videos from your events on Aftershoot’s social media
